If Canada had a referendum on the monarchy, would you vote to keep it, or to become a republic?

What has the monarchy done for us lately?
The fact that a person, or people, are any better or different from the "rabble" is yesterday's news.

Do you expect to see fewer cannabis retail stores this time next year?

I predict that the market will balance itself out. Somewhat similar to what happened to General Motors dealers when the corporation downsized. The classier stores will survive, but the little ones will perish. And lets not forget, the illegal market still exists.
As a side note, Newmarket does not have any pot stores. But it does have dozens of craft brewers. Which is worse, from a realistic view?
Alcohol causes cancer, at a much higher rate, BTW, plus drunk drivers, and a bunch more questionable outcomes.
I personally, don't use either. I prefer to see life as it really is.

The notes and news that talk about underfunding, is pure bs, and the same thing as the health care debate. It took 15 years for the liberals to screw it all up, and will take 15 years to fix it.
What the Ford government is trying to do, is put the funds in the right place.
"Rome wasn't built in a day" comes to mind.
When I went to school, in the 50's and 60's, not everybody passed, especially not for just showing up. Education should begin at home, and should remain so for it's duration. Even simple things, like table manners, and behavior, and the basics of social study's, CANADIAN History, and reading and writing, penmanship, and simple math.
But it seems to me, those things have been lost.
I have memory's of sitting at the kitchen table for hours, doing homework. My parents reviewed my work, and made me do it again if I got it wrong. They never "helped" me do the work.
We did the same with our kids, and it worked.

It seems to me, and it has for a long time, that school boards spend far to much on themselves, in wages, trips, etc. than the do on actual education.
Also, to this governments credit, the push towards trade's and actually learning math, and how money actually works, re: taxes, interest on loans, credit cards, and how to read an clock. Yah know, like REAL life? is a huge step forward.

I worked at Lakeshore and the Humber mouth, from the early 60's to the late 70's. This happened every spring, and you could smell it as soon as you got onto Parklawn at the Queensway. Nothing new here.

Governments role, Provincial or Federal, or municipal. Is not to actually build anything, but rather to facilitate . Which, is dependent on developers, that are willing to take less profit.
Given the greedy municipal governments reluctance to take less, in development fees, and all the bribes, kickbacks, that go with them.
There are community's of post war homes, all modest, all around the GTA, most of which have never changed much, in the past 80 years. At that time, veterans got a chance at low cost mortgages. It was called the Veterans Land Act.

Is this thing on? It seems people have short memory's of the last 10 years of Trudy running Canada into the ground. For those that do pay attention, it was NDP that forced dental and pharma.
Think about unchecked immigration with no housing. Think about homelessness, crime, and a judicial system that just stinks. Think about the fact that we are almost at the brink of not being able to defend ourselves. Think about ALL Canadians, not just yourself.
Sure, you may have to do with fewer "freebees", that are not free at all.
And remember, government are your employees, not your masters.
In my world, employees are just that. When was the last time you took orders from an employee? I would hope never. Politics is confrontational by it's very nature.

Face the facts. Those that are seniors today, BUILT Canada to what it was 10 years ago. Carney is a opportunist, and will break every promise he makes.
A vote for liberals at any level of governance is at your expense.
We need to right the ship. I don't PP a ton, but he has my vote

Karl. But the parents don't decide, because they set the example, with their noses pressed on their phones.
Of note, sit in a waiting room and you will see 99% of people are on their phones, absorbing garbage.
We live in a world where mis or dis, information is the trend.
Just wait until AI takes over.
It's Animal Farm/1984 coming true
