"Toe-biting" beetle attacks and kills a much larger water snake (video)

This incredible video showcases the power of the giant water bug.

This week as part of our Village Wild video series, presented by Dietrich Law, we're featuring an eerie and fascinating video link submission.

Inspired by our recent story on Ontario's "Toe-biting water bugs," Eric of North Bay has submitted an incredible video showcasing the power of a similar looking predator – the giant water bug. This footage, captured in the Rincon Mountains of Arizona, shows a real-life David vs. Goliath battle between a tiny bug and a much larger opponent. But don't be fooled by size – buckle up as we witness a 3cm giant water bug take down a 10cm garter snake in a surprising display of aquatic dominance!
