It is always exciting when a Canadian airline announces new routes, especially when those routes lead straight to the sun. Porter Airlines recently shared the news that they are launching service to several warm-weather destinations this winter, and as someone who has spent many hours in the air, I can say that Porter’s economy class is one of the loveliest ways to fly.
The new routes depart from Toronto Pearson, Ottawa, and Hamilton and land in some of the most appealing places for a winter getaway. Whether you are looking for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, there is something here for everyone.
Costa Rica
If you have ever dreamed of zip-lining through lush jungle, surfing the Pacific coast, or soaking in natural hot springs surrounded by volcanoes, Costa Rica should be at the top of your list. This country is a haven for eco-tourism and wellness travel. It is safe, welcoming, and brimming with activities that are as gentle or as thrilling as you choose.
The Bahamas

From the cobblestone streets of the old town to the lush mountains that frame the shoreline, Puerto Vallarta is ideal for travellers who want culture with their beach days.
These new routes open up wonderful opportunities for Canadian travellers to explore sunny destinations without the hassle of multiple connections or long layovers.
