According to the study, Ontario cities dominate the top 10 list of the safest cities in Canada. Leading the way is Barrie, ON, recognized as the safest city across all Canadian metropolitan areas, boasting an impressive overall safety index of 7.13. Not far behind is Brantford, ON, securing its position as the second safest city in Canada with an overall safety index of 7.00.

Guelph, ON, takes the third spot on the list, earning the title of the third safest city in Canada with a commendable overall safety index of 6.84. Toronto, known for its diverse and vibrant communities, follows closely behind as the fourth safest city in the country, with a safety index of 6.63.

While Ontario cities dominate the rankings, Saint John, NB, proudly stands out as the fifth safest city in Canada, garnering a respectable safety index of 6.46. This achievement highlights the dedication and efforts of communities beyond Ontario in fostering secure environments for their residents.

Among the 34 cities analyzed in the study, Winnipeg received the lowest safety index of 4.59, indicating room for improvement in enhancing security measures and reducing crime rates.
