Tim Hortons is set to make a nostalgic comeback by reintroducing a long-absent pastry that hasn't graced its menu in nearly ten years. The much-loved Dutchie donut is making a return in honour of Tim Hortons' upcoming 60th anniversary celebration.

This square-shaped yeast-lifted delight, boasting a sugary glaze and infused with raisins, was one of the original baked goods available at Tim Hortons when it debuted in 1964, alongside the iconic apple fritter.

Initially discontinued in 2014 due to dwindling popularity, the Dutchie made a brief return in 2017 for Canada's 150th anniversary before fading from the menu again.

But the sweet news for Dutchie aficionados is that starting January 10th, this beloved treat will once again grace Tim Hortons' counters.

As Tim Hortons gears up for its 60th anniversary on May 17, a lineup of both new products and beloved classics will join the menu.

The celebration will pay homage to the original treats that adorned the menu when the very first Tim Hortons opened its doors in Hamilton, Ontario.

Tims is teasing a trip down memory lane by hinting at the return of four retro doughnuts to its menu in 2024. While the return of the Dutchie is no longer a secret, the rest of the details are being kept under wraps.

The other three doughnuts set to resurface remain a mystery for now. In a June poll hosted on social media, Tim Hortons engaged customers in a playful guessing game, asking which among the blueberry fritter, chocolate éclair, or cinnamon twist would be favoured for a comeback, sparking curiosity and speculation among doughnut enthusiasts.

So, mark your calendars for January 10th to savour the return of the Dutchie, the nostalgic treat making a limited-time comeback at Tim Hortons.
